Hello all... I'm looking into going out to do some birding near Wray, Colorado and would just like to see where I should go. If anyone from the area or familiar with birding in the area could give me some tips as to where the best spots are, etc. Please let me know. I'm planning on going there next week sometime, maybe for a couple days.
I'd like to try to find Northern Cardinals, Greater Prairie Chickens, Towhees, Sandhill Cranes, and any other Eastern birds that don't make their way to the Fort Collins area often. I was planning on going down to the San Luis Valley for the Crane Festival this weekend, but cannot make it, so I'd like to find some Sandhill Cranes as well... (I've heard there are a few randomly near ponds or lakes out east)... Thanks! If you'd like to reply, please email me at [email protected].
