I was thinking about that also this aftn and looked it up online.  They nested 
around a big power box and were creating a fire hazard and potential power 
outage.  I don't recall how long ago that was.

Didn't Monk Parakeets build nests along a Colorado Springs thoroughfare quite a 
few years ago?  I don't believe any young were produced but the adults were 
apparently present for quite some time.  At least that's my recollection.
