Hi all,

I checked the Marston Reservoir Great Blue Heron Rookery on monday, 3/9. There
were no birds on the nests that I could see on 3/9. I did not check the rookery
again until today, 3/12. The trees were about one quarter full with
Double-crested Cormorants and some Great Blue Herons were also present on 3/12.
The Cormorants were sitting in some of last year's nests. Quite a bit happened
in the 2 days I did not look at the rookery. The rookery is on the west side of
Marston Reservoir, and it is off limits to the public. This helps insure the
safety of the birds, thank goodness. The rookery is in Denver cty.

Happy Birding!
