On Saturday, March 14, we got to spend more time at Jumbo Res.  A more  
careful estimate of the White-fronted Geese put the number over 1000, an 
amazing  
number, to me, for Colorado.  The Snow and Ross' Geese must have been 20 to  30 
thousand or more-it was hard to comprehend the blizzard of them swirling  
around. One adultand one first year Glaucous Gull and the Lesser  Black-backed 
Gull were still present.  The large number and variety of  common ducks was 
augmented by a Male Barrow's Goldeneye.  The nests in the  Rookery were not 
being 
worked on while we were there and we could only see one  Cormorant on the Lake 
(there is a large area near the rookery that cannot  be seen well.  Bill and
