A correction on my sighting this morning.  Bill Maynard just reminded  
me that Horned Grebe is more expected this time of year than Eared,  
and, while I'm not positive about the distant winter plumaged birds,  
there were quite a few moving into breeding plumage, with red necks  
showing. So there were at least several dozen Horned Grebes there this  
morning.
