Birders,
I checked out Jumbo today after reading the posts of the Prather's.
When I arrived about 11:30 am, one of the first birds I saw was the adult
Glaucous Gull. I did see another later though I can't be sure it wasn't the
same bird (it was flying by). There were perhaps 10,000 to 15,000 white geese
and very few WF Geese.
As the day progressed, and by the time I left at 3 pm, there must have been at
least 30,000 white geese. It was amazing. I did find several hundred WF Geese
at the NW corner of the reservoir hanging out with at least 1000 Cackling Geese.

I didn't find the Lesser Black-backed Gull but it is a big place.

Hundreds of gulls, dabblers and divers, were picking some kind of bug off the
water at the east end. It was a feeding frenzy of sorts.

The list:

White geese: >30,000
WF Geese > 300
Cackling Geese > 1,000
Barrow's Goldeneye 1 male
Glaucous Gull: at least 1.
Horned Grebe: 2 (1 alternate, 1 basic)
Many dabblers and divers
