Hi Birders,

A visit to Longmont's Sandstone Ranch produced quite an aerial show of
birds, at one point there was 2 harriers, 2 red-tails, and 1 bald
eagle in the air over St. Vrain Creek. Later a horned lark commenced a
skylarking flight. Three sandhill cranes lifted off from the gravel
operation south of the creek. A very large group of pelicans were
roosting on the bank of the gravel ponds. Spring and cabbage white
butterflies were flitting around the hilltop.

Good Birding,

Scott Severs,
Longmont
