Hi Everyone--

I drove a lap around Jumbo Reservoir this afternoon 3/21. Most of the gulls
were at the east end (the picnic area near the corner of Sedgwick CR 28 and
CR 3), so I spent a fair bit of time there. Among the Ring-billed Gulls were
one Franklin's Gull and one Black-legged Kittiwake (ear spot, black neck
line, black tail band). Ducks and geese were in profusion, including five
species of geese (maybe 5% of the snows were blue), and several Ruddy Ducks
on their way to summer plumage. I noted a few Horned Grebes from the boat
launch area. On my way home, I made a brief stop at Prewitt Reservoir. A
flock of 58 Sandhill Cranes flew past, but otherwise there wasn't much
happening. The lightning show over Brush this evening was impressive.

You need a habitat stamp to bird the reservoirs.
