CoBirders Yesterday, 3/24, the Wanita Lek had 16 displaying male Gunnison Sage-grouse and 1 female. The Wanita Lek is North of Hwy 50 on Rd 887, also named Wanita Hot Springs Rd. You'll see a pull over area with displays a short distance up the road.
In Crested Butte, there are some Brown-capped Rosey-Finches hanging around town. I have seen them consistently on 5th street just west of Elk St. Two early Barn Swallows were just west of Gunnison. Blue Mesa Resevoir is still iced over except at the far east end. A lone Ring-billed Gull was flying around.
