Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch (Grand, *Ouray)
Black Rosy-Finch (*Ouray)

Boulder County:
--A MEW GULL was reported by Szeliga at Cottonwood Marsh on March 29.  The
MEW GULL was seen again on April 2 by the Such boys.

Delta County:
--Two Black Phoebes were reported by McConnel in Escalante Canyon on April
3. One was upstream from Escalante Rim Road at the suspended irrigation pipe
and the other was downstream from the road at the first concrete water
diversion dam.

Fremont County:
--An Eastern Phoebe and GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW were reported by DeFonso at
Tunnel Drive in Canon City on March 31.

Grand County:
--150+ Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches were reported by Cathy Craig near Granby on
March 30.  If you want to try to see them contact her at [email protected].

La Plata County:
--A Tundra Swan was reported by Beatty at Pastorius SWA on March 29.

Larimer County:
--A White-winged Dove was reported by Kogler at the end of McKenzie Drive in
Loveland on April 1.

Logan County:
--3+ Red-bellied Woodpeckers and 2 Northern Cardinals were reported by
Leatherman at Tamarack Ranch east SWA on March 31.

Logan/Sedgwick Counties:
--1 male Barrow's Goldeneye and 1 1st-cycle Glaucous Gull were reported by
Leatherman at Jumbo on March 31.

Ouray County:
--Gray-crowned and Black Rosy-Finches were reported by Kent Nelson at his
feeder in Ouray on March 31.  Nelson reported 1 Black Rosy-Finch on April 1
and 1 Gray-crowned on April 2.  Kent is willing to let birders try for the
Rosy-Finches.  The feeder can be viewed from the alley behind his house.

to see if the Rosy-Finches are still around.
--McConnell reported a large flock of Rosy-Finches near Lake Lenore in Ouray
on April 3.  There was a Black and Gray-crowned in the flock.

Pueblo County:
--A possible HARRIS'S HAWK was reported by Rooney at Pueblo Reservoir on
North Marina Road on March 30.

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, April 4 to Red Rock is probably cancelled
due to weather.  Contact Bob Shade at (303-975-2476).

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, April 5 will be to Barr Lake State Park led
by Kathy Dunning (303-333-7253).  Meet the leader at 0830 at the Nature
Center for half day trip, lunch optional.  Will walk about 3 miles on level
trails.  State Parks Pass required.
