For crappy weather what a glorious day of birding. Nunn Cafe was warm
and gracious as usual as 16 of us geared up for 30 degree weather and
blustery winds. We persevered and ended the day with 66 species!

Highlights:
Barn Owl - 3 (Crow Valley Campground. We had naturalist with us who
just earlier said are we going to see Barn Owl and I say "heck no!"--
insert foot in mouth-haha)
Mountain Plover - 3 (I had a bad feeling in 30 degree/frigid temps BUT
over at Dyers Ranch we finally found them and actually got to watch
some breeding behavior-wahoo!)--possible Mountan Plover at WCR 33 site
but we could not refind it after someone had yelled out I think I see
something that looks like a Killdeer but is not a Killdeer.
Greater White-fronted Goose - 2 (Timnath Reservoir)
Burrowing Owl - seen at WCR 33 (2-3) and along WCR 43
Great-tailed Grackle - 24 (mostly at Timnath Reservoir area)
Prairie Falcon - 1 (Crow Valley)
Swainson's Hawk - 1 (Hwy 14)
Laramie Audubon Society - 3 members
McCown's Longspur - at least 4- dozen including three dozen on road
hiding behind wild sunflowers from weather--long looks for all)
Blue-winged Teal - 1 (Drake Lake)

Thanks
