At sunrise this morning I arrived at Pueblo with the intent of hitting the
north side of Lake Pueblo. On the way to it I decided to take a quick detour
into the "Desert Hawk at Pueblo West Golf Course" out of curiosity. To my
amazement there were a large number of Scaled Quail running about. If I was
to guess I would say there were at least 50. Then I headed to Lake Pueblo
State Park and down to the lake. There I spent the next few hours
photographing both Clark's and Western Grebes. The later were a bit farther
away for decent close up shots, but I did get some of the Clark's up close.
I counted about 14 to 15 of the Clark's and 3 of the Western. I hope to post
my images in my website in the next few days.
