Hi COBirders,

After a slow start this morning, things picked up. After the winds
shifted from NW to SE, about 10:00, we started seeing more birds
moving around, and caught the most birds. Observed GC Kinglet
(unbanded), the RB Nuthatch, and warblers started arriving.
HIghlights for the day: Nancy G (RMBO) banded FOS Least Flycatcher,
FOS Orange-crowned Warbler males, M/F YR Warblers - (Audubon's and
Myrtle, and an Intergrade male with Myrtle facial markings and a light
yellow wash on the throat), more Blue Jays, House Wrens, Am Robins,
and a SY male RW blackbird (actually orange-winged!) 18 new birds
banded today. Visitors reported several good birds at the HQ, like WF
Ibis, Am Bittern, and a greater variety of warblers than at the
banding station.
