CObirders,
This morning from 6:30 am - ~10:30 am; Dan Carragher, Lisa Edwards, Brandon
Percival, and myself birded Fountain Creek Regional Park.
We did not relocate many of the same birds from yesterday. I birded the woods
below the nature center yesterday at 6 am and was amazed at all the Swainson's
and Hermit Thrushes. However, we did not see a single thrush today. It
appears there was a turnover. We ended up with 70 species, 10 of which were
warblers.
Highlights:
Northern Parula - 1 male - Area 1
American Redstart - 1 female type - Area 4
Tennessee Warbler - 1 male - Area 3
Northern Waterthrush - 1 - Area 2
Indigo Bunting - 2 males - Areas 1 & 4Rose-breasted Grosbeak - 2 males & 1
