Hi Everyone--

Marcia Marvin and I walked around the perimeter of Sawhill Ponds (Boulder
Co.) this morning 5/10. We heard a Brown Thrasher and saw at least one
Chimney Swift. There is still a Green-tailed Towhee near the southwest
corner. No unusual warblers, but there were lots of singing Yellows. A Green
Heron was fishing from the pond across from the main parking lot. A
Bullock's Oriole flew over, and there was a singing Yellow-headed Blackbird
near the northwest corner.

At Walden Ponds, there were two Caspian Terns, four Long-billed Dowitchers,
a Semipalmated Sandpiper, about ten Least Sandpipers, and a few avocets in
Cottonwood Marsh. The Bank Swallows have returned, and a Bufflehead is still
hanging on.
