Hi cobirders. Wednesday coming home from the store I pulled into the
driveway and a
small bird (warbler) flew from the crab apple tree along side me. I
watched it from the
car. As it flew I could only see the tail. It had a wide black stripe
down the tail with a
wide white stripe on each side. It disappeared past the shed into a
tree in the back yard.
Not able to get out quickly any more I went to back yard and checked
for 10 minutes or
more. Nothing. However the tail matches Painted Redstart now all I
have got to do is
see the rest of it in Colorado. Has not come back. It is hard adding
another state bird.
