Arapahoe County:
--A Least Tern was reported by Stachowiak at Cherry Creek SP at the new
wetland south of the model airplane field on May 24.  The Least Tern was
refound by Nelson on May 29.

Boulder County:
--A Northern Waterthrush was reported by Szeliga along Boulder Creek below
Folsom Field in Boulder on May 26.
--An Ovenbird was reported by Nunes south of the intersection of the Mesa
Trail and North Shanahan Trail in Boulder on May 26.
--Dunning reported that the male SCARLET TANAGER has returned to Gregory
Canyon on May 28.  It was seen on the Gregory Canyon Trail in Boulder about
100 yards further uphill from pole #50.  On May 29, Hansley reported that
the SCARLET TANAGER was still in the area.
--2 Green Herons were reported by Szeliga on the south shore of the western
Twin Lake in Gunbarrel on May 29.
--Floyd reported a Green Heron at Walden Ponds in Boulder on May 30.

Chaffee County:
--A Black-throated Gray Warbler was reported by Floyd on CR 304 east of
Johnson Village on May 25.

Costilla County:
--A SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was reported by Simmons in Blanca on May 28.
It flew west.

Delta County:
--2 pair of American Three-toed Woodpeckers were reported by Garrison near
Stevens Gulch Road north of Paonia on May 29.  Walk up 718 Road south of
Hubbard Road and look around.

El Paso/Pueblo Counties:
--At Chico Basin Ranch (fee);
----On May 28, Drummond reported a f Blackpoll Warbler at Rose Pond and a f
Hooded Warbler at HQ.

Fremont County:
--A basic plumaged RED-THROATED LOON was reported by Rich Miller at Brush
Hollow Reservoir on May 19 and Miller reported that the loon was still
present on May 25.
--Moss reported on May 30 that Eastern Phoebes are nesting by the old sewer
plant on the Canon City Riverwalk near the Sell's Lake trailhead.

Jefferson County:
--A f BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER and Rose-breasted Grosbeak were reported by
Righter in Apex Gultch where the main trail intersects the Pick Sledge Trail
on May 27.
--On May 28 at Welchester Tree Park in Lakewood, Plage reported a m
Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
--A m Rose-breasted Grosbeak was reported by Powers at the Wheat Ridge
Greenbelt on May 29.

La Plata County:
--Morris found an Ovenbird under Scrub Oak on the east end of Pastorius
Reserivor on May 30.

Mesa County:
--Zerbi reported an American Three-toed Woodpecker at the parking lot of the
Mesa Top Trail on May 30.

Park County:
--A Least Tern was reported by Schmoker and CFO Birders at Antero Reservoir
on May 25.

San Juan County:
--A Rose-breasted Grosbeak was reported by Kaempfer in Silverton on May 25.

Washington County:
--At Prewitt below the dam on May 25, Wild reported m BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER,
m Northern Parula, and f Summer Tanager.  At the inlet canal on May 25, Wild
reported a Great Crested Flycatcher.
--A female Rose-breasted Grosbeak was reported by Tina Jones at Last Chance
on May 25.

Weld County:
--At Crow Valley on May 25, Wild reported an ALDER FLYCATCHER and m
Black-throated Blue Warbler.
--At Beebe Draw on CR 48, Wild reported a NEOTROPIC CORMORANT on May 25.
--At Crow Valley on May 26, Leatherman reported ALDER FLYCATCHER, m Magnolia
Warbler, and m Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
--At Crow Valley on May 28, Walbek reported a White-eyed Vireo in the SW
corner and also Blackpoll Warbler and Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
--At Crow Valley on May 29, Griffin reported a White-eyed Vireo.

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, May 30 will be a Foothills Ovenbird Trip in
Jefferson County led by Mike Henwood (303-716-8551 or 720-716-8551(cell)).
Meet the leader at the Willow Springs Open Space which is a private area.
This will be a five to six mile trip, with lots of up and down terrain.
This trip is strictly limited to six people so you must call the leader to
register and obtain details.  3/4 day trip so bring water, snacks, lunch and
sunscreen.  Trip will end by 1400.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, May 31 will be a repeat of the Foothills
Ovenbird Trip.  See Saturday, May 30.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, May 31 will be to Wheat Ridge Green Belt led
by Patty Echelmeyer (303-233-4947).   Meet at 0800 at the north side of
Prospect Park Lake south of W 44th Ave, just east of Robb St.  This will be
a half day trip so lunch is optional.
