Today at the NE corner of the Lake loop parking lot of Cherry Creek State Park I found a Western King bird strangled in some fishing line. Looks like they found some fishing line and put it in their nest...got the line tangled around it's neck and thus hanged itself. Sad part was it was swinging in the breeze while its mate sat just feet away calling to it.
Very sad when our trash causes some beautiful animal it's life.
