In response to David's post about swallow behavior-- At a bridge near here, we have noticed a similar displacement of other swallows by Cliff Swallows. The original colony of Barn Swallows was gradually replaced by a mixed flock of Bank and Cliff Swallows, and ultimately, the survivors were the Cliff's. More moved in, and now their mud nests occupy the crevices and corners of the understory of the bridge, and they, the air over it. Nancy Hatch Denver **************Looking for love this summer?
