A number of folks have written to me...trying to help me sort out the broken
links I've mentioned.  I'm happy to say...the link from my blog still works and
still links to what surely must be the most current Huerfano County checklist
(in PDF format):

http://www.coloradocountybirding.com/checklists/checklist.php?name=Huerfano
It lists 488 species.    Printed on the checklist is: Last up-dated 15 Jul 2009

However, NOW the link from the CSO site for the Huerfano County Bird
Checklist (in PDF format) is:
http://www.coloradocountybirding.com/checklists/checklist.php?id=29&flag=pdf&name=Huerfano
It  lists 299 species.  Printed on this checklist is:  Last-updated 21 Jul 08

Whomever made the recent change has failed to also remove the newer checklist
and the link to it...which is why my link still works.  I'm wondering how long
till this 2009 document is no longer available and why, suddenly, there is an
older version made available.  ...Oh, well, it does only list one quail having
ever been seen in Huerfano County.

I am not exactly sure what is happening here...but it doesn't look right.  I
could be mistaken...perhaps the older one is more accurate?  But...what about
the Whooping Crane, 2/3 of the Gulls, eight Hummingbirds, Ross's and Brant
Geese, the Neotropic Cormorant, half ( or nearly half) the Herons, Rails,
Hawks, Wrens, Warblers...or the Scarlet Tanager or the Caspian Tern?  Okay,
I'll stop...you get the idea.

If this is some huge mistake I hope to get an explanation.  I'd rather not be
asked to leave this group for some faux pa of mine.  Perhaps the newer document
is completely flawed.  I wouldn't know; I'm pretty much a newbie...

Should anybody need the newer document...let me know; I and several others have
downloaded the PDF file and can forward it to whomever needs one.
