Hello, Birders.

Well, let's start at the top. At 3:34 a.m. this morning, Thursday, July 30th,
an Upland Sandpiper flew over Greenlee Preserve, Boulder County. It called,
loud and clear, 5 times on its way over. Conditions were perfect, I would say:
light NNE winds, a low cloud ceiling, and light rain off and on earlier in the
night. The bird evidently saw fit to drift west to Boulder on its way to
Argentina.

Meanwhile, I would -not- have called the conditions favorable for a dickey-bird
flight, but there were passerines aplenty up there. Between 3:30 and 4:00 I
heard the following flight calls: 1 Yellow Warbler, 28 Chipping Sparrows, 2
Lark Sparrows, and 1 Lark Bunting.
