Hello, all. Winds have been light and variable the past few nights, though with a generally southerly vector. Thus, there hasn't been a great deal on the move: the past 2 nights, a few Wilson's Warblers and presumed Brewer's Sparrows, plus a trickle of Chipping Sparrows. Location: Greenlee Preserve, Boulder County. But yesterday morning, Sunday, August 23rd, I heard something cool: a Red-breasted Nuthatch flying over. I heard it when it was straight overhead, then a few seconds later off to the south. It's the first time I'd ever heard a Red-breasted for sure on nocturnal migration. I've had a few probables in years past, but this was the real deal. -------------------------------
