Sabine's Gull (Larimer)
American Three-toed Woodpecker (*Boulder, Custer/Huerfano)
Black Phoebe (*Delta)
Eastern Phoebe (Pueblo)
Tennessee Warbler (Pueblo)
BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER (Boulder)
Northern Waterthrush (*Jefferson, Pueblo)

Bent County:
--A juvenile Neotropic Cormorant was reported by Komar at the west end of
John Martin Reservior on August 25.

Boulder County:
--Several American Three-toed Woodpeckers were reported by Dunning in Wild
Basin on August 25.  The easiest to access were at the junction of the
backpacker campsite trail and Tahosa Campsite path.
--A BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER was reported by Szeliga at Betasso Preserve on
August 25.
--An American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by Szeliga at Brainard Lake
on August 27.

Custer/Huerfano Counties:
--2 American Three-toed Woodpeckers were reported by Percival on Greenhorn
Mountain Road on August 23.

Delta County:
--A Black Phoebe was reported by Garrison at Pleasure Park on the Gunnison
River on August 28.  Pleasure Park is between Hotchkiss and Delta on CO 92 
at MM 13.

Jefferson County:
--A Northern Waterthrush was reported by Henwood at Bear Creek Lake Park
near the NW Cove at Pelican Point on August 28.

Larimer County:
--A NEOTROPIC CORMORANT was reported by Komar in a small pond near Timnath
Reservoir between County Roads 76 and 78 on August 14.  The bird was
observed again on August 26 by Griffin.
--An adult Sabine's Gull was reported by Mammoser at Timnath Reservoir on
August 23 and seen again on August 26 by Komar.
--An adult LAUGHING GULL was reported by Hopper at Timnath Reservoir on
August 24.

Logan County:
--An adult YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON was reported by Peterson at Jumbo
Reservoir on August 23.  The bird was in the southwest corner of the lake.

Phillips County:
--A Short-billed Dowitcher was reported by Peterson at the Road 29 and Road
6 ponds on August 23.

Pueblo County:
Percival reported the following west of Valco Ponds parking lot on August
26:  Tennessee Warbler, Northern Waterthrush and Eastern Phoebe.  The
Tennessee Warbler was re-found by Percival on August 27.

Weld County:
--A LAUGHING GULL was reported by Deininger near the intersection of CR 23
and CR 10 on August 26.

The DFO field trip for Saturday, August 29 is to the Wheat Ridge Green Belt,
led by Jackie King (303-287-1644).  Meet at 7:30 am at Prospect Park Lake
near the permanent restrooms, south of West 44th Ave, just east of Robb St.
This is an excellent area to see warblers as well as shore and water birds.
This will be a half day trip so lunch is optional.  Leader is using a
scooter for mobility so this trip is accessible and will involve easy
walking.  Call the leader if going.

The DFO field trip for Sunday, August 30 is to Northeastern Colorado,
Prewitt and Jackson Reservoirs, led by Joey Kellner (303-978-1748).  Meet
the leader at 0530 at the Division of Wildlife, 6060 N. Broadway -- Exit
I-25 at 58th Ave, go west 2 blocks to Broadway, then north 2 blocks to
parking lot on the right.  Habitat Stamp for State Wildlife Areas and State
Parks Pass required. This is an all day trip so bring lunch and plenty of
water. Be sure to bring insect repellent and sunscreen.  Call the leader if 
going.

Everyone is invited to the Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory annual Barbeque
on Saturday, August 29th at the Old Stone House at the north end of Barr
Lake, Adams County.  There will be Birds walks, an auction, educational
seminars, children's events and a keynote address by Bill Schmoker.
