Grand Valley Audubon Society property (Connected
 Lakes) in Grand
  Junction has banded 222 birds of 24 species since
9/21:

Wilson’s Warbler – 24

White-crowned Sparrow – 23 (22 Gambel’s, 1 Mountain)

Ruby-crowned Kinglet – 15

Bushtit – 15

Song Sparrow – 11

House Finch – 7

Bewick’s Wren – 5

American Robin – 6

Spotted Towhee – 6

Common Yellowthroat – 3

Nashville
Warbler – 2

Lincoln’s
Sparrow – 2

Blue-gray Gnatcatcher – 1

Cordilleran Flycatcher – 1

Blue Grosbeak – 1

Black-capped Chickadee – 1

Brown Creeper – 1

Western Tanager -1 

Northern Flicker – 2 (1 Red-shafted, 1 Flicker Intergrade)

Mourning Dove – 1

Hermit Thrush – 1 

Oregon Junco –
1 

 

Banding at this site concludes on October 15.
