The 2 female Surf Scoters originally found by Christian Nunes at Baseline
Reservoir several days ago now have a male companion. The best viewing was by
hiking the Dry Creek trail about a mile from the east side of the reservoir. I
was tipped off to arrival of the male by a female birder while I was birding at
Walden Ponds. Thanks whoever you are. At Walden Ponds there was a large
gathering of waterfowl. There was also a yellowlegs on the far side that was
hard to see due to grasses in the way, but I think the bird was probably a
Greater. Also had adult Bald Eagle and fly over Golden Eagle at Walden Ponds.
There was a Prairie Falcon high on a power pole NE of Baseline Reservoir.
