While hiking back down the Fish Creek Falls trail on Monday I had a flyover of
White-winged Crossbills was a nice surprise. I was about 3/4 of a mile from
the bridge at the falls. I also came across both chickadees, Brown Creeper,
Red-breasted Nuthatch, and Stellar's Jay.

Later that day while searching for dipper along the Yampa River on River Dr.,
no luck, I came across a Wilson's Snipe. Still later that day I saw a
Rough-legged Hawk on CR 129. Almost the same location I had in Oct 2008. A
final stop along the Elk River on CR 52E an American Dipper flew down the
river.
