This evening near dusk, about 1,000 American Crows flew west low over my house in
about 15 minutes. I've seen 100-150 flying into the mountains from Hwy36 between Lyons and Boulder at dusk before, but this was astounding. Any corvidiphiles out there? .. that have some sense as to: 1 - some kind of evening roost at 7,000 ft. somewhere, or 2 - just a quick spin up to Estes Park before dark, or 3 - what the heck are they doing anyway?
