I saw NO White-winged Crossbills this morning between 8:45 and noon at
Grandview Cemetery, Fort Collins. It was about 18 degrees and a light snow was
falling until about 10:30 or so, when the skies mostly cleared. Bird activity
in general this morning was quite subdued. I DID see a flock of 8 Red
Crossbills (all apparently Type 5s) for a time in the spruce just w of the main
entrance.

I will try to visit the cemetery the next couple of days and post the outcomes.
For those still wanting to the see the White-winged Crossbills, they could be
gone, they could still be around. In either event, finding them may require
hours of searching.

Other observations of note today:
Eurasian Collared-Dove - perched on an American Elm branch singing away
House Finch - one male in the top of various trees singing away
American Robin singing its ventriloquist song within a berry-laden juniper
Cackling Geese mixed in with several Canada Goose flocks
Cedar Waxwing - one flock of about 15 birds flew through
Townsend's Solitaire - heard
Bob Shade out in the sun
No Mountain Chickadees detected, despite their being about the 3rd most
numerous species in the cemetery at present

Total of 20 species.
