I finally got my fox sparrows to sit near each other so I could get some photos.

The slate-colored one spends much more time at the feeder than the red one now.
It is also (as Andrea pointed out) smaller than the red one.
They seem to prefer the cracked corn in the seed mix, and spend a lot of time
scratching, using both feet at once like a towhee.
Feel free to swing by and see if they are at the office. I put them in e-bird
if you need a map. 403 N Rio Grande in Paonia, Forest Service office. I will
be around tomorrow after about 2, although best photo time is 9-11 (sunlight on
the ground there). The birds are there only about three minutes in thirty,
however, so there may be some waiting.
