The male Mandarin duck sighted on the Boulder Chrismas Count and mentioned
by Ted Floyd recently is still present on open space ponds south of Boulder
Airport.
Today It was resting on the ice with mallards next to an open water area.
To view it take Airport Boulevard to the east end and scope ponds from south
of the office building at 5660 Airport Boulevard.
Also present, common and hooded merganser, lesser scaup, ring-necked duck,
goldeneye, gadwall, etc.
