I viewed a female Williamson's Sapsucker in Lory State Park yesterday halfway up the Arthur's Rock trail. The bird was seen foraging numerous Ponderosas in the vicinity of the snow line as it stands right now. This is the area that inlcudes the last switchback before the areas just below the rock open up...essentially where most of the trees stop.
