Hi CoBirders,

Today we also saw the Beautiful Snowy Owl. What a treat !

Now some observations..

We have not been birding much in the last two years, but I decided this was a
good way to start birding again.

Please, give the Owl room. If your optics are not good enough, borrow optics
from someone else. If your camera/lens is too small, again, borrow.

Today there were a few birders, all being respectful of the Owl.

We did have a neighbor stop, and ask what we were looking at. After telling her
about the Owl, I asked if she would like to look at the Owl through a scope.

She pulled over, and brought her two kids over to check out the bird. They
were very interested, and asked a lot of questions. They were very excited.
She told us she had recently moved here
from out of state to this quiet location. She said Thursday in her Cull de Sac
several people were looking at her roof, and her kids were upset. They did not
go outside.
She told us all the birders were respectful of her property, but neighbors
around her wondered what was going on .
She also mentioned that Thursday the Owl was on the metal building where we saw
it today, and someone went to the dumpster beside the building, and climbed on
top
with a small camera.

Please.. give the Owl room. Please remember you are in a neighborhood, if it
looks like a neighborhood or not. Wave at the people driving by, stay off their
property and out of the street.
Be friendly to the neighbors, and be respectful of the Owl.

A wonderful bird, thanks to all for directions and the posts.
