Hi COBirders, Yesterday (Thursday) I spent a couple of hours on the Dakota hogback north of Garden of the Gods looking for any raptors that might be moving. Not many were yesterday.
In "Mountain Shadows" - my observation sight at the end of Garden of the Gods Road, and 30th St. 2 Red-tailed Hawks (probably local) 1 Cooper's Hawk, moving N fast 2 Am Crow plus many W Scrub Jay and Black-billed Magpie, 1 White-breasted Nuthatch, and a few House Finch (and 14 Bighorn Sheep above 30th St., mostly rams) in Garden of the Gods park 2 Prairie Falcons (the locals) 1 Am Kestrel lotsa Rock Pigeons and W Scrub Jays more observations later, after the snow stops!
