Photos of several interesting gulls from Windsor Lake Saturday afternoon are now posted at http://www.pbase.com/quetzal/gullswindsor03272010.
Alternative opinions about the identifications of the gulls photographed are welcome. "Kumlien's Gull" is the North American subspecies of Iceland Gull. Vega Gull is a Siberian/North Alaskan subspecies of Herring Gull, considered a separate species by the Europeans. Windsor Lake will be the site of the Gull Field Trip that I will lead for Fort Collins Audubon Society on Saturday April 3 from 12 noon - 3 pm. Meet at the Swim Beach by the town park on the south side of the lake, 1 block north of Main Street in downtown Windsor. Bring telescopes if you have one. No preregistration necessary. Free of charge. Nick Komar Fort Collins CO -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
