Hi COBirders,

The word for the day, again, was slow. Calm winds, cool temps, no daytime
moisture, but also no birds.

There were three new birds banded today - one each of Song Sparrow, Spotted
Towhee (m), and Orange-crowned Warbler (f). The Com Yellowthroat (f) from
Saturday was recaptured, also.

Overhear in the grove the Northern Parula was refound (but still not banded), a
Wilson's Warbler (same one?) along with several Yellow-rumped Warblers, a
Ladder-backed Woodpecker, and Say's Phoebe. That's about it.

NOTE:

For those planing a visit this week - there are now message boards up on both
sides of the railroad tracks east of Exit 122 (which you have to cross to use
Old Pueblo Road, from the exit there) - which say that the crossing will be
CLOSED 4/29. They don't say HOW LONG it will be closed, but you may want to
avoid the 7-mile backtrack to Fountain, at least that day.

Good birding,
