Hi all,

apologies for the tardy posting - I have been a bit busy since getting home..

Yesterday evening along with Linda Vidal, Mary Harris, Dotty and Heidi, I
visited Spring Park reservoir. Suitably armed with 4 telescopes on a cool
blustery evening, we enjoyed some great sightings including the following..

3 Common Loons in alternate plumage (for a Brit, they were doing a passable
imitation of 3 Great Northern Divers in breeding plumage)
40+Barrow's Goldeneyes
Many 100's of other ducks
27 Marbled Godwits
2 Lesser Yellowlegs
1 Willet
1 Killdeer
1 Bonaparte's Gull (adult basic)
2 Franklin's Gulls (adult alternate)
3 Ring-billed Gulls
2 Vesper Sparrows

also
1 Porcupine
Several Elk and Mule Deer

Nearby
The Great Horned Owl was still on the nest in Upper Cattle Creek

Good birding all
