Hi all, apologies for the tardy posting - I have been a bit busy since getting home..
Yesterday evening along with Linda Vidal, Mary Harris, Dotty and Heidi, I visited Spring Park reservoir. Suitably armed with 4 telescopes on a cool blustery evening, we enjoyed some great sightings including the following.. 3 Common Loons in alternate plumage (for a Brit, they were doing a passable imitation of 3 Great Northern Divers in breeding plumage) 40+Barrow's Goldeneyes Many 100's of other ducks 27 Marbled Godwits 2 Lesser Yellowlegs 1 Willet 1 Killdeer 1 Bonaparte's Gull (adult basic) 2 Franklin's Gulls (adult alternate) 3 Ring-billed Gulls 2 Vesper Sparrows also 1 Porcupine Several Elk and Mule Deer Nearby The Great Horned Owl was still on the nest in Upper Cattle Creek Good birding all Dick Filby Carbondale -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
