I refound the Piping Plover at 7 a.m. today at Clover Basin Reservoir. Like
yesterday, it spends much of its time on the west end of the reservoir near the
big rusty barrel and cement blocks. I will post distant but identifiable photos
later. I refound the Piping Plover for another birder just before I left at 8
a.m.
Highlights:
Piping Plover, 1
Black-bellied Plover, 2 breeding plumage and 1 nonbreeding
Semipalmated Plover, quite a few, 6?
Wilson's Phalarope, lots, 75?
Peeps, 100+
Spotted Sandpiper, 4?
I have photos of a bird that is probably nonbreeding Black-bellied Plover, but
I will take a closer look to see if it might be American Golden Plover.
