Hello, Birders.

Just a quick report here from Boulder County from earlier today, Friday, May
7th.

Boulder Reservoir. Way flooded, but there was a loudly protesting Marbled
Godwit standing in the waterlogged grass on the north shore.

Lagerman Reservoir. Also up, but with a tiny sliver of shorebird habitat on the
west side. There I saw American Avocets, Willets, and Semipalmated Sandpipers
in the double digits. There was also a suggestive dowitcher; I'm leaning
Short-billed, but I didn't see it well enough. Also a Great Egret.

Clover Basin Reservoir. Lots of birders and one little Piping Plover. Thanks to
John Tumasonis for getting the word out about this great find. Most of the
previously reported shorebirds were gone, but there was a single fly-by
Semipalmated Plover and about 15 peeps, representing all 3 of the expected
small species. Ira Sanders got us on a nice Peregrine Falcon, too.

Prince Lake No. 2. Totally flooded, but a Loggerhead Shrike--uncommon in
Boulder County--was nice.
