Even though I'm still relegated to the house (hopefully for the last day) due to a mean virus/pneumonia combo, I'm looking out the windows as often as I can and have seen some good birds! Here's a list of today's highlights:
Orange-crowned Warbler - 1 Virginia's Warbler - 1m, new yard bird! House Wren - 3 Rock Wren - 1 Evening Grosbeak - 2m, 1f, still having them nearly every day, even when it's been warm Black-headed Grosbeak - 2m, 2f Broad-tailed Hummingbird - 2m, 2f Black-chinned Hummingbird - 1m Green-tailed Towhee -1 Spotted Towhee - 15+ Lincoln's Sparrow - 1 Chipping Sparrow - 11+ White-crowned Sparrow - 4 Song Sparrow - 3, previous high count was 2 Western Bluebird - 3m Red-winged Blackbird - 1m, unusual in my yard Brown-headed Cowbird - 7+, becoming a nuisance It sure is active out there!!!
