Even though I'm still relegated to the house (hopefully for the last day) due
to a mean virus/pneumonia combo, I'm looking out the windows as often as I can
and have seen some good birds! Here's a list of today's highlights:

Orange-crowned Warbler - 1
Virginia's Warbler - 1m, new yard bird!
House Wren - 3
Rock Wren - 1
Evening Grosbeak - 2m, 1f, still having them nearly every day, even when it's
been warm
Black-headed Grosbeak - 2m, 2f
Broad-tailed Hummingbird - 2m, 2f
Black-chinned Hummingbird - 1m
Green-tailed Towhee -1
Spotted Towhee - 15+
Lincoln's Sparrow - 1
Chipping Sparrow - 11+
White-crowned Sparrow - 4
Song Sparrow - 3, previous high count was 2
Western Bluebird - 3m
Red-winged Blackbird - 1m, unusual in my yard
Brown-headed Cowbird - 7+, becoming a nuisance

It sure is active out there!!!

Good Birding,
