The Boulder Bird Club enjoyed a productive day at Chico Basin Ranch thanks to
Bill Maynard.
Our bird list was over 100. Some of the highlights included:
2 Mississippi Kites flying east of Headquarters Pond -- second ranch record
1 Broad-winged Hawk on the El Paso side
1 m Chestnut-sided Warbler at Rose Pond first found by Brian Gibbons
1 m Blackpoll Warbler at the Banding Station
1 f Townsend's Warbler in willows at Headquarters
1 Summer Tanager on the El Paso Side
and to top off the great day some of got to see the Common Black Hawk at
Fountain Creek Nature Center since we got timely news from Lisa Edwards.
