Hi Birders,

We are really into our resident species now, and more of them are coming into
breeding condition - House Wrens, Yellow Warblers, Chats, Spotted Towhees are
all hyped up and a little more stressed in the net and the hand. In addition
to the new and return birds each day, we are catching about 15 repeats - birds
already caught this year that have managed to get caught again. We are moving
birds through quickly, to let them get on with their all-important springtime
activities!

Today's 26 new captures:

Willow Flycatcher (FOS) 1

House Wren 2

Swainson's Thrush 1

Gray Catbird 2

Yellow Warbler 11 new, 1 return

Yellow-breasted Chat 3

Spotted Towhee 1

Lincoln's Sparrow 2

American Goldfinch 2

Weather forecast says it will be HOT the next few days......so we will be
closing earlier - as soon as it seems to hot for the birds in the nets (most of
which are in the sun). So come early - before 9. There are more birds earlier
anyway.
