We had a steady stream of birds for the approximately 50 visitors who came out
to enjoy the first day of our last weekend of banding this spring. 29 new, 1
return:
Western Wood-pewee 1
Willow Flycatcher 2
House Wren 2 (that makes 54 new, 8 returns for the season)
American Robin 2
Gray Catbird 4 (56 new, 8 returns for the season)
Yellow Warbler 11 new, 1 return (107 new, 28 returns for the season, a record
for the station)
Yellow-breasted Chat 2
Lincoln's Sparrow 5
We will be banding Sunday and Monday; first birds at the station by about 7:15,
closing about 11 a.m., depending on the heat and wind.
