Paddled for bit on Friday, before the wind came up and it got choppy. Decided to do a bit of birding. The woods just east of Muskrat Meadows was full of birds. Watched a Wester Wood-Peewee pair work bugs over the creek. Got a couple of shots. As usual, there were Wrens everywhere! Then, a flash of blue - a male Blue Grosbeak! My first ever. Been trying all season. Wow, what a gorgeous bird. He stayed up in a Cottonwood, but I managed a couple of shots. Pretty highly cropped image, but it's there to see at:

Also some Bullocks Orioles, but the trees are getting leafy enough where it's hard to get photos of them.
