The Brown Pelican was in the north end of the lake on the evening of June
7th (about 7 pm). It seemed annoyed with the boat activity on the lake. I
watched if fly around to avoid boats but eventually returned to the same
location at the north end of the lake.

While conducting a survey as a part a RMBO project along the Colorado River
yesterday (June 8th) morning I heard an odd warbler song which turned out to
be a TENNESSEE WARBLER! The bird sang about 10 times while I was in that
area and the first time I heard it I was actually conducting a point count.
A Yellow-billed Cuckoo was seen at the same location as I was searching for
the warbler. The location of these birds is about a 5 mile hike from the
MacDonald Canyon trailhead so fairly difficult to access. This spot is also
less than a mile from the Utah boundary. The no-see-ums were ridiculous in
there!
