Hi All, I'll be spending some time in Grand Mesa next week and hope to have a little time for birds...The ABA Birder's Guide (1997) lists two species I'd especially love to see: Gambel's Quail and Chukar. The Quail are referenced near Kannah Creek and the the Chukars primarily in Coal Canyon.
Anyone with some current familiarity with the area who might know if these two locations are still viable?
