CO Birders,
 
I stopped by Smith Reservoir at 11:00 AM this morning with my wife, Heather, 
and Peter and Ellen Derven from Durango. We saw the following:
 
Eared Grebes (one with youngster on back)
Western Grebe (1)
American White Pelican (3)
Double-crested Cormorant(1)
Canada Geese (many)
Common Merganser (1)
Peregrine Falcon (2) (one at water's edge)
American Coot (4)
Killdeer (many)
Lesser Yellowlegs (many)
Solitary Sandpiper (1)
Spotted Sandpiper (4)
Baird's Sandpiper (many)
Western Sandpiper (many)
Least Sandpiper (4-6)
Wilson's Phalarope (many)
Forster's Tern (6)
Black Tern (3)
Common Nighthawk (4-6)
Horned Larks (10-15)
Violet-green Swallows (many)
Great-tailed Grackles (2)
