Hi Cobirders! For over 40 years as an amatuer astronomer in the
Denver Astronomical society I was active in many of
the things that were done. One that went on for a while was
observing birds passing in front of the moon using your
telescope. Being also a bird observer over most of that time I
didn't get too excited about it. Only a few large birds were
identifiable . Also we all knew looking at the moon spoiled your
vision for stars and nebulae. It sure is a fun activity
and not very scientific.
