Of interest to El Paso County birders.: We spent a little time at Sonderman Park this morning and it was quite birdy. In addition to the park's residents and summer birds, we saw : Yellow, Wilson's, Northern Waterthrush, Nashville Warblers, Plumbeous and Cassin's Vireos, and an immature Rose-breasted Grosbeak way upstream to the area where there's standing water and dead tree trunks/branches in the water, near a foot-bridge. I think that's the third foot-bridge from the entrance. Near the foot-bridge just below the parking lot, there was a very cooperative Warbling Vireo. A Sharp-shinned Hawk flew the path. Everywhere in the park there were dozens of Flycatchers. Cecile Lee Elbert, CO
