Hi Cobirders

Well we had another great day at Chico Basin Ranch.  Our third 100+ bird day in 
a row.  Highlight was a fat Hatch Year male Cape May Warbler, my first banded 
in Colorado and always a rarity.

Shorebirds at HQ pond are numerous with best being Short-billed Dowitcher juv 
and Pectoral Sandpiper.

Birds Banded: 113 birds of 26 species
Downy Woodpecker 1
Western Wood-Pewee 1
Willow Flycatcher 1
Hammond's Flycatcher 4
Cordilleran Flycatcher 4
Cassin's Vireo 2
White-breasted Nuthatch 1
House Wren 1
Swainson's Thrush 1
Hermit Thrush 3
American Robin 8
Gray Catbird 2
Brown Thrasher 2, plus another recap from 2008
Orange-crowned Warbler 8
Yellow Warbler 1
Townsend'd Warbler 6
CAPE MAY WARBLER 1 hy male
MacGillivray's Warbler 3
Wilson's Warbler 42
Yellow-breasted Chat 1
Western Tanager 11
Canyon Towhee 1 first time banded (they are always in the neighborhood but 
never caught previously)
Song Sparrow 1
Lincoln's Sparrow 1
Lazuli Bunting 5
American Goldfinch 1

I hope the fall migrants continue to pour through.
