All: I heard and saw approximately 35-40 Sandhill Cranes flying WSW over the foothills near Conifer, CO at 5:25 pm. They were at about the intersection of North Turkey Creek Road and Jefferson County Hwy 7, halfway between Evergreen and Conifer. Just made my day, as they flew towards the sun just beginning to set over Mt. Evans.
